Hi, I'm Ash
I am a Software Engineer with a Master of Information Technology from Monash University, passionate about building practical solutions that solve real-world problems. What I enjoy most about software development is taking an idea and turning it into a working solution that people can use. Rather than only analysing problems, I am motivated by the process of designing, building, and delivering solutions from end to end.
Through my university and personal projects, I discovered that I am most engaged when connecting a problem to a working outcome. Building full-stack applications with React, Python, APIs, and cloud technologies showed me how much I enjoy creating reliable software. This passion for building and seeing ideas come to life is what drives me to pursue a career in software engineering.
Project 1: Fridgely – Smart Pantry & Food Inventory App
Purpose:
To help young people manage their food and waste less.

Make it easy to track food, avoid waste, and save money with recipes and tips.
Key Features
1. Inventory Management
Users can easily manage their food inventory by adding, editing, or deleting items, ensuring efficient tracking and minimizing waste.
2. Recipe Suggestions
Personalized recipes are generated based on available ingredients in the user's inventory, helping reduce food waste and simplify meal planning.
Users receive tailored storage tips to extend the shelf life of their food, ensuring proper preservation and minimizing spoilage.
3. Food Preservation Tips
Project 2:
DecideMyMeal – AI Meal Recommendation App
Purpose: Help users overcome decision fatigue when choosing what to eat.
Goal: Provide personalised meal suggestions based on user preferences while helping users save money by choosing home-cooked meals over eating out.
Tech Stack: React, TypeScript, Vite, Python, FastAPI, OpenAI API, Vercel, Render.
